As a professional for 20 years in the State University System, I have been inspired by young and energetic people to create a line of bright casual jewelry. Through classes in art history and various bead-making classes, I attempt to create patterns that are bright and unusual, bringing a sense of fun and whimsy to my jewelry. I draw my color palates from the intense hues of Florida.

In bead-making I am able to express my vision and originality in my use of color and form. Glass bead-making is an ancient art form and the process of melting glass with a torch and watching it take shape has fascinated me for some time. By combining colors and designs, I allow my beads to take form. From the first step of making the beads to the final step of the finished piece, my imagination is my guide to creating this whimsical jewelry.

All pieces are hand-strung on beading wire or elastic to fit the style of the particular piece. Designing and creating jewelry has helped me grow artistically. My goal is to create pieces that are fun and interesting, as well as functional.
